.tmx file import does not overwrite existing TM

Hello,

I am using Studio 2017. Whenever I import an alignment or any sorts of .tmx file into a TM in Studio, the imported segments do not overwrite the existing segments. The other segments are added, but the ones that are already in the TM do no get replaced by the ones in the .tmx file even if I click on "Overwrite..." during the import. The import process is behaving as though I clicked on "Leave unchanged...". Is this an issue with Studio?

I tried to import the same .tmx file into an empty TM created in Studio, and it worked fine. It’s just the "Overwrite" feature that doesn’t seem to work.

Thanks for your help.

  • Hello Paul, (this is not urgent)
This is about a problem I had noticed with the importation of .tmx files in Studio 2017: I finally have a file that would allow you to reproduce the problem. Here is what happens: I created a .tmx file that has more than 2300 units. Then in Studio 2017, I create a new TM and I import this .tmx file. The problem is that only half of the .tmx file gets imported. BUT if I do the exact same thing using Studio 2015, create a new TM... all the 2300 units of the .tmx file get imported in the new TM.
This is a problem I have had since I started using Studio 2017.
When you have time, I can send you this .tmx file. Just let me know how.
    Thanks!
