Visio collaboration with Trados

Question

Dear All, 
 I'd like to create a project in Trados using a file created in Visio programme. I have found an instruction as follows: 
 "SDL Trados Studio does not process native Visio format files. Use Microsoft Visio to open the file, and then save the file as an XML file: save drawings as XML drawing files, stencils as XML stencil files, and templates as XML template files". 
 I've tried to convert files to xml format but Visio doesn't have such a format to choose from. Please, help.

There is a filetype on the appstore that supports VDX and VSDX formats from Visio... this might be interesting for you if you get them a lot;

You can also try Trans-tools which provides a wide range of very helpful tools including Visio help:

You can also try creating your own filetype in Studio for this as it is indeed XML and this blog is quite helpful for that:
