Locked segments in the Analysis Statistics

When we want to have locked segments reported as a separate category in Studio 2017, they appear correctly as a separate category in the Analyze Report. However, while they did not show at all in the Analysis Statistics in the File window in Studio 2014 (which was a bit annoying sometimes), they now seem to be included in the No Matches (while these are Context Matches and 100% Matches that have been locked). The Analysis Statistics are correct when excluding locked segments from the analysis report altogether, but not when you want to have them reported as a separate category... Has this behaviour been changed for a specific reason?

Actually, it may be useful to see the locked segments as a separate category in the Analysis Statistics as well (and have it greyed out when locked segments are not to be reported as a separate category)...

  • Hi,

Having used PerfectMatch (PM) on a number of projects since we started using Studio 2017, we do feel it is quite annoying that the Analysis Statistics are no longer correct as the locked PM segments are now included as No Matches. This does not make any sense, as it involves identical matches from a previous document version that are also included in the TM. So this looks more like a bug than a conscious decision...

The analysis reports are still correct, but these do not allow us to select batches of documents to quickly get separate word counts. The WIP report provides the correct number of words in locked segments as well, but does not provide any analysis information (unless the file has been pre-translated).

Could this be looked into, or should I post this as an idea?

    Best regards,
