Problem since last update of Trados in the past few days.

Question

Since the last update of Trados - beginning of this week or last week, can't remember... I have 2 problems : 
 - Trados can't connect to Multiterm anymore. 
 - I can't use the button "register target as", and all my files are registered as sdlxliff.

Hi St&eacute;phanie, 
 First of all please make sure you are using the up to date versions for Studio and Multiterm (I will assume you mean the 2017 version): 
 SDL Trados Studio 2017 - 14.0.5821.4 
 SDL MultiTerm 2017 - 14.0.2165.2 
 Next, what do you mean by "register target as". perhaps provide a screenshot? Save your screenshot to your desktop and then load it into the post like this:

Hi Stéphanie, 
 
I think you need to try a reset which might solve both of these issues. Files are always saved as sdlxliff as this is the native format for Studio bilinguals, but I can see your Save Target As is greyed out and this option would allow you to save as XLIFF if the original file format was XLIFF. 
 
Rename this folder (just add _old to the end or something, it's not important what you rename it to) and restart Studio: 
 
c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\14.0.0.0
