Access to path D:\System Volume Information denied

Question

Suddenly I can no longer import packages in SDL Studio 2017. I get an error message saying that access to the path D:\System Volume Information is denied. I tried rebooting the pc and re-installing Studio, but the problem hasn't been solved. How can I solve this issue?

Studio reset usually helps. 
 
BTW, we noticed that the best way to avoid this, if the issue occurs, is not to close Studio the usual way, but kill it in processes so the UserSettings.xml is not updated (and you will not lost the project list). 
 
To reset close Studio and rename/delete file: 
c:\Users\(user name)\appdata\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\14.0.0.0\UserSettings.xml
