SDL Plugin Management does not work with Studio 2017

When clicking on Studio Plugin Management nothing happens, except display of a loading icon (which may disappear and reappear several times). I already tried reinstalling. Nothing helps. This was already a few months ago. Now that the same thing happened on the computer of a colleague of mine. It turns out that this happened after having double-clicked on an *.sdlplugin file.

Is there any easy solution?

Thanks for your suggestions

kind regards

  • Dear Paul,
sorry for my late reply, but for I didn't see your answer. Unfortunately no suggestion did not lead to success.
But I found out that on our computers, for a reason that I ignore, the sdlplugin files were assigned to Firefox or another software! Now that I fixed this on my computer, the plugin manager works again outside Studio(only). But I wouldn't know which are the steps that I've got to complete, in order to repair this on my colleagues'.
Anyway I've got to learn how to deal with this tool. I already extracted the files of a plugin (for instance Legacy Converter) and copied them into the SDL plugin folder. But Studio seems to ignore this.
