SDL Trados Studio 2015 - Alignment of IDML files

Hi community,

I'm facing few problems when trying to align IDML files in order to create a TM.

With small files, I managed to create the alignment, but they are tiny, so I don't think this is a good indication.

However, when I try to create alignment with bigger files, I keep getting the following "famous and unclear" error:

Object reference not set to an instance of an object (attaching the error details XML file).

I can see that the content of both source and target IDMLs are similar and the number of pages matches.

Hello Yael,

Can you try creating a Studio project with one of these files based on the language direction you wish to align. Then keeping that project active try the alignment again.

Let me know if this makes any difference at all.

If it doesn't then you should log a support case.

Hi Paul,

Unfortunately, the same error occured.
I create a SDL project only from the source IDML files, and then used the same source IDMLs with the target IDMLs to create an alignment task. The same error occured.

Additional Input, I managed to create an alignment task in MemoQ 2015.
