Comments not saved into target file

Question

I keep getting the following error message in the Messages window on my Studio 2017: 
 "Comment in segment X is in unsupported location and will not be saved into target file" 
 The target file is a normal docx. 
 Has anyone encountered the same problem and knows of a solution?

I've not come across this one. Can you share a small sample text with one or two of these comments in it?

This was an interesting one, and I can confirm the support team logged this as a bug this morning. It's LTB-1914 for your refererence. 
 
The problem is that the text inside the .docx is enclosed in “Content Control” boxes and it seems Studio cannot write comments for text enclosed in Content Controls. It does work if you use the old filtetype so you have a workaround if you have more problems than the presence of the messages. 
 
Also worth noting that it also seems to depend which content controls have been used. Some of the ones in your file are really restrictive and you aren’t even able to change formatting.
