how to make my comments appear in the final DOC file

Question

Hi. I would like my comments to be displayed also in the target file (word for example) and not only in SDL, so the client can read them. For the moment, they do not appear in my final DOC. Dont know why.

Have you checked your file type settings? Under the Microsoft Word 2007-2016 file type, under Common, there is the option "Retain Studio target comments in target file". Have you checked that this is ticked? Hopefully that should do it for you!

Comments only appear in DOCX files (Word 2007 or higher) if the option is ticked (see Nikki's post). In DOC files you must transfer the comments manually.
