System paths

Is it possible to change system paths for saving e.g. export, projects, etc. as defaultly the initial path is always to C drive somewhere to the system folders and it needs to be changed manually case by case?

  • You can save all but some system files like Projects.xml wherever you want. In the project templates a path for projects based on those templates can be chosen. In fact there is no default folder for Studio - there is however one, which will be suggested in the first place unless you save the next project elsewhere, then this path will be suggested. And so on :)

  • Dear Jerzy, thank you, this is clear, however when I want to e.g. Export files, Studio always offers me first the path to C drive: C:\Users\name\Documents\Export Files...is it possible to set somewhere that it offers path to the project from which I export the final files? Thanks a lot.
  • Change the system default in Windows - this is a system (Windows) folder.
In fact I never paid attention to that (since Studio exists), as I use a specific folder structure. And changing the path in export is a simple copy & paste operation, so I really never bothered in changing the default. My files must always go to specific folders, there is no way to send them all to one specific folders. So I have to change the paths all the time for every single project. This is done in no time - and would not be better, if I would have a fixed setting for that.
