When I create a new project by clicking on Projects>New Project, a huge list of TMs is shown under the "Translation Memory and Automated Translation" tab - basically containing all of the TMs I have ever used in the past. I then have to scroll through all of these to find the right one or add a new one as necessary. How can I prevent the TMs from automatically being listed here? Is there a setting I can change somewhere?
Hi Denise,
It sounds to me as though you would benefit from using Project Templates. If you add a TM, or create a TM, every time you open a file for translation then the TM will be added to your defaults. If you use Projects for your work and create Project Templates for your different clients then the TMs you need will already be selected when you choose the appropriate template.
You can get rid of the long list by going to File -> Options -> All Language Pairs -> Translation Memory and Automated Translation and removing them from there.
