"Failed in Framework.dll" error when opening a pdf file

Hi,

I'm experiencing problems in opening pdf files in Studio 2017 Freelance. I tried to open one of a series of 10 files yesterday and everything worked perfectly (Studio converted the pdf into a Word file and opened it into a xliff file). Today I tried to create a project with the 10 files but I got the following error message "Failed in Framework.dll". I then tried to open the files one by one but I got the same error message. It is even impossible to open the pdf file I perfectly opened yesterday!

Can anyone help, please?

Hi Francesco,

I'd try a reset and see if this helps. Rename this folder (just add _old to the end or something, it's not important what you rename it to) and restart Studio:

c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\14.0.0.0

Hi Francesco,

I'd try a reset and see if this helps. Rename this folder (just add _old to the end or something, it's not important what you rename it to) and restart Studio:

c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\14.0.0.0
