My fuzzy match repair is never applied.

I am new to SDL trados. Once translating a document, I have a repeated segment which is almost the same that of a previously translated segment, but there is no fuzyy match. That column appears to be in gray with the letter P. I am also trying to use SDL machine translation in this project but there seems to be an error.

What am I doing wrong?

  • Hello Jose,

The title of your post says "fuzzy match repair" but your message refers to simple fuzzy matches... so my response relates to the simple one.  It would help to see the text that is in your TM, and then the text that you think should be recognised.  This way it's possible to tell whether the problem is related to your lookup settings in your options.  The default is 70%, so if the difference would be a lower fuzzy than this then the reason is clear.

So a little more information would help, but in the meantime take a look at your lookup settings, in your Project Settings:
