I have problem with files that are not that big 770 K to 2 mb that takes forever to prepare and seem to become huge files in Trados.
And in editing mode it freezes the whole program.
What can be the cause?
File format is Word and excel.
Also struggling with tags that doesn't appear as tags even if I do all the settings that are supposed to identify and process tags as tags.

If your source files are full of tags then this can happen because the code requires a lot of information to represent the tags correctly in the editor. You could try a couple of things:
