Dear experts,
This week I observed a big problem with Studio 2017 in handling a project which I would like to share with you all:
Start condition:
The customer provded a project with more than 170 "xlf" source files located in multiple folder organised in a nested folder tree.
After translation each file was stored with Studio commands: "Save" and "Save target as" and the project was closed.
So far so good.
Problem oberved:
Studio not only stored all files in their respective folders where they belonged - which is correct, but it also saved some 50 files (?) in one particular folder in addion to what actually belonged there. With this some files were available two times in the project folders- which caused serous problems at customer
I have repeated the process by setting-up a fresh new project and ran through the translation again (thankfully TM was there), but have got the same problem again.
Studio has copied some 50(?) files in a folder in addition to where they belong.
I am not sure if this is just a very project specific problem or that Studio has problems in handling complex file structure in nested tree of folders or that I have overlooked something in my project setting?
Any advice or comment would be most welcome.
Thanks and best regards
