Replacing files in a current project

Hi all, 
 I know that this has been asked before, but unfortunately the answer did not really help. 
 How can I replace the (target) SDLXLIFF files in an existing Project? I am reviewing a project consisting of several files translated by someone else, and now the translator sent me an updated version of one file. Luckily, I have not started working on this particular file yet, so I would like to replace the old SDLXLIFF file with the updated version without having to recreate the entire project. 
 How do I do this? Thank you very much for your help!

Hi Bettina, 
 
The safest way is probably this: 
 
1. Rename the sdlxliff file in your target language folder as _old. So if the file was called A12356.sdlxliff you rename it A12356.sdlxliff_old 
2. Copy the updated A12356.sdlxliff you received from your translator into the same folder as A12356.sdlxliff_old 
3. Open the project and all should be fine
