Error message "Object reference not set to an instance of an object." while setting up a new project

Question

Hello everybody, 
 I have a problem with setting up a new project. During the second step, after I chose the source and target languages, I press "yes" and receive following error message "Object reference not set to an instance of an object." As template I used an old project. Could you please tell me what could be the problem. Thank you in advance!

This is a known issue caused by CU5 and is under investigation. 
 
As a workaround, you need to create a project template from the existing project then base your new project on that.
