Word-related blocking error?

Question

Trados 2017 
 All of a sudden, I get this error message and Trados is blocked. 
 It seems to be a Word-related error, but Word works just fine. Would like to uninstall and re-install Trados, but can't deactivate offline and can't open Trados either. The support link sends me to a non-existent page.

Hi Sandra, 
 
Sounds like the best next step. You don't need to deactivate Studio when you're reinstalling it on the same machine.

I think I solved this issue. It seems to have been due to the Menu Maker add-on app, which was attempting to load Word in a wrong configuration and causing Trados to crash. Since I couldn't uninstall Menu Maker externally, I could not eliminate this bug. The issue was resolved by re-installing Menu Maker, opening it externally and preventing it from loading Word.
