Source segment text in target segment

Question

In the Editor: it automtically copies the text of the source segment in target segment. I uncheckd this option from the Editor Options, but it didn't solve the problem.

Do you run a pretranslation? There is also an option for copying source to target. 
Uninstalling the program will not help, you can save your time on doing that. Check all options thoroughly - it is either one of the settings Paul mentioned or the pretranslation process.

When does it do this? There are a couple of options to control this feature: 
 
File -> Options -> Editor : automatically copy source content to target cells when opening document 
 
File -> Options -> Editor -> Automation : copy source when no match is found

I think, if these are not working, and if you are not pretranslating as Jerzy mentioned, then it might be worth resetting your settings. You didn't mention the version you are using so based on Studio 2017 rename this folder (just add _old to the end or something, it's not important what you rename it to) and restart Studio: 
 
c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\14.0.0.0

Trados Studio > 1. Trados Studio
