My auto suggest in SDL Trados 2017 does not seem to work.

Question

It is activated in settings. I do have a large TM. I keep typing the same or similar sentences, but no suggestions.

 The feature does work with a new TM without you doing anything, but to set it up with an existing TM you need to carry out the fine grained alignment to get started, just a one off operation. I would not compare this feature with memoQ as this is considerably different, and in my opinion better, and more relevant.

That's not the only way to use AutoSuggest but you were very specific in your first post so I gave you the features that are more likely to match what you were talking about. 
 
You don't need to do the TMs one at a time though as you can use this app to do them all together. So just leave your machine running when you finish for the day and when you come back they'll probably all be done:

But on AutoSuggest in general perhaps look at this article:

It's older than the fragment matching capability, but everything in it is correct.
