Projects disappeared after moving to new laptop

Question

After re-installing Trados 2017 on my new laptop and copying all my 'old' data in the respective files, the former projects are not recognized at all. 
 What am I missing?

I don't understand how Trados could have been installed on your OneDrive, you can't change the default installation location. Perhaps you are just referring to your project files? Or maybe you mean your Documents folder is pointing to your OneDrive? 
 
You can place your projects anywhere you like. The projects.xml, which contains the information Studio uses to find the projects will be in the location set by the installation but the projects, translation memories, termbases can all be wherever you prefer. Can you share the exact message you are seeing?
