Dear SDL Community,
Sigh. So I finished my translation 2 hours ago... As you can see from the subject line, I am likely out of luck, but thought I would run this by all of you in case I have missed something in the many threads that I have gone through in the last two hours.
I have Studio 2014
I left my file open overnight
It was still there this morning and I finished it, added more terms to the termbase, and clicked the option to generate a target translation.
Under the file tab, Studio gave me the happy blue bar and the 100% translated indication
When I tried to generate the target translation, I got the dependency file not found message. I tried to rename the TM and open a new single-file translation. There are only 5 segments in the TM. I had confirmed all segments while translating. Do they not go automatically to the TM when I do that?
So now when I go to look at the file in my project, the bar shows nothing is translated.
There is also no newly created single file. How could I possibly have done that?
I have never had this happen before and wonder how to avoid it in the future. How can it be that the work is all simply gone. I haven't deleted anything. Really.
I also tried searching in file explorer for all documents modified today and see what is some kind of file with en-GB at the end of the file name time stamped at 10:09, which is when the file should still have been ok. Can I maybe open this file? Is there a safe way to do it so that I don't lose it?
Thanks for any help you might be able to offer.
Beth
