SDL Trados Studio stopped working

Hi all,

I worked on a project package without any issues. However, when I opened the first file of another package, I got this message, saying that SDL Trados Studio stopped working due to an issue (but it doesn't specify the issue):

I repaired, uninstall and installed the latest patch, and I tried again, but it didn't work. I also restarted my computer, but it didn't work neither.

I have the same issue in Studio 2015 and Studio 2017.

Any ideas of what may be happening and how to solve this issue?

Thanks!

Kind regards,

Alicia

but then I cannot open the TM. It is a WorldServer project and I need to use the TM from WorldServer and create a return package.

    My licenses are Starter licenses.

ok - this will be a problem if you only have the starter licence because you'll only be able to work with the TM as part of the package.  Are you sure the files were not pre-translated already?  Perhaps there is enough value in that and you can at least progress the translations and keep a copy of the translated sdlxliff files backed up for good measure?

I think it makes sense for you to log a support case and have a support engineer look at this problem for you.  For licensing or installation issues that prevent you from working we have a route for all customers to get help. This can be achieved really quickly using this link:

Just fill in the form and submit it. Make sure your email address is entered correctly or nobody will be able to get back in touch with you.  It won't get picked up until Monday at the earliest though.
