I have a batch of "pre-aligned" .sdlalign files and need to check and edit the alignments.

However, when I open the files in the Alignment tool (tried this in 2014 but am now using 2017, which basically should be the same in this respect), all Connect options are greyed out, and I suspect this is because there is no TM connected. Problem is, I can't figure out how to do this when starting from already aligned files, unlike a "normal" alignment scenario where you start from the Align Single File Pair wizard and are asked to add a TM.

What is the preferred workflow in this case? Can I just open a file directly in the tool and then connect the TM (how?) or do I have to use any of the wizards with some modifications?
