how to translate documents pdf files? SDL trados 2017

Hi! 
 My name is Riccardo 
 Use this SDL Trados 2017 program for the first time. I have a 300-page PDF file that there are pictures and everything in English I would like to in English this PDF as it does? Then I have another PDF that has 30 pages with few images same in English translation. Then I have another PDF with 10 pages without image and I have to translate it into Italian. Seeing the first weapons you have an easy easy guide like translating these files? The guide that you need to give me would be the same with the files in Word ?? Thanks for answering.

PDF files can be tricky, but the starting point would be to see whether you can open them in Studio and get translatable text. So to test this out just use the same process you would use for any file format in Studio. Just because it's PDF doesn't make it any different... unless the PDF is problematic. And then you might have to scan the PDF to get at the translatable text another way.
