Access denied to access path... "Dati applicazioni"

Question

Dear All, 
 
 Out of a sudden SDL Trados Studio 2017 stopped allowing me to open clients' packages. The message I receive is the following: "Access to the path &lsquo;C:\Users\Antonia Tofalo\AppData\Local\Dati Applicazioni' denied." I tried to find this folder but I do not manage to! Even dethicking the flag to "Show hidden folders". 
 Can you help? Thanks in advance,

problem solved! Thank you! 
I had to rename the 2 following folders: 
 
c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\14.0.0.0 
c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Local\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\14.0.0.0

This sounds like your security software is preventing Studio from writing to the temp folders. Try turning off your AV for a short while and see if this solves the problem. If if does then you know you need to whitelist Studio in your security application. 
 
This can happen after an AV update for example.

In that case please can you try a reset? Rename this folder (just add _old to the end or something, it's not important what you rename it to) and restart Studio: 
 
c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\14.0.0.0
