Recently installed SDL Trados Studio 2017 but seem to be missing translation memories

Question

Hi 
 I'm hoping someone can help me. I recently purchased SDL Trados Studio 2017 and am having trouble getting started. I've watched videos and read manuals and I'm not able to work it out. 
 My problem seems to be that there are no translation memories. I get as far as choosing a translation memory and that's where I get stuck. 
 I'm a complete newbie to this software so I'm sure it's something simple that I'm missing here!

Studio doesn't come with Translation Memories. So you have to create them yourself to begin with. I created a few simple videos a few years ago to help new starters get going so perhaps they will help you. The software is older so it won't look the same but the principles are the same:

It's a 2-hr eLearning course for beginners, self paced to suit you so might be a good starting point.
