Cannot save my document translated in Trados 2017 in word format.

I systematically receive a message saying "xml parsing error".  Somebody help, please - I have to submit my translation tomorrow afternoon.  As I'm not very computer literate, I'm completely lost.

  • You need to do some steps, systematically. If one step does not help, go to the next and so on. Please go in the order given here. After each step test, close Studio and start again.
When the file is open in the editor go to the View tab and select "Reset window layout"
If the error message appears again immediately after start, note the location of you current project. Then go to Documents -> Studio 2017 -> Projects and rename the projects.xml there to projects-xm_ After restarting Studio all your projects will disappear from the list. Go to the location of your recent project(s) and double click the *.sdlproj file you find there.
Follow the instructions in this article gateway.sdl.com/.../communityknowledge to remove your settings files and reset Studio.
Go to Setup -> Manage user profiles and reset the user profile there.

Should nothing help, please save the error message you get and post it here.
