Windows 10 version 1607 update

Hi All,

last week after Windows 10 version 1607 update, all Studio translation projects and memories have disappeared from the Studio 2017 folder on my pc.

Has anyone experienced the same problem? Is there anything I can do to retrieve somewhere in some way my projects files and memories?

I am desperate.

Chiara

  • Your projects are where they were - in their projects folders. The only thing, which might have disappeared, is the reference to those projects in Studio.
First, please check, if you did not set any filter in the Projects view. The Navigation pane (on the left side) must show "All Projects" in all three filters.
If no, just go to each project folder you need to work on and double click the SDLPROJ file there. This will register the project in Studio again.

I would suggest not to keep all projects in the project list, but close them after finishing and then remove from the list. Keeping the list short makes the use of project management feature in Studio much easier. And also prevents you from corrupting the Projects.xml, what happens unfortunately sometimes.
