Can latest Studio 2017 SR1 be used with TMs client packages?

Question

I upgraded to Studio 2017 SR1 last week, had a quick look around, then went on a short holiday. Today a client has sent me a package that includes a few translation memories. I'm getting the warning message to upgraded translation memories, but the "Upgrade" button in the translation memories part of the Project Settings is grayed out when I click on the translation memories included in the package. 
 So, what do I do? If I do not upgrade, presumably I will not be able to use the translation memories, is that correct? 
 If there is indeed no backwards compatibility, then basically it would seem that in order to use packages from clients I would need to roll back my entire installation to the previous (pre-SR1) version of Studio...?

Do you have project translation memories in the package? If so, the main TMs are certainly not included and thus cannot be upgraded. You can continue working on his package as is.

Thank you for this Jerzy - it seems I was getting alarmed about very little, as the TMs are actually working as I expected. Initially it seemed to me that they were not returning concordance results in the way they should, but it turns out that they are okay.
