Studio 2017 error message 'Could not find any resources appropriate for the specified culture (or the neutral culture) on disk' on trying to open packages

On installing the latest update to Studio 2017, I get the error message below on trying to open a package.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software to no avail.
Help! :-s
