Hi to all,
After having installed the last Studio 2017 CU6 and the PDF-IRIS Technology plug-in, I run a test, processing the same (Western alphabet) PDF file with and without having activated the “Option > File types > PDF > Converter > Using IRIS technology for optical character recognition”.
At the end of the processi, I got two substantially identical MS Word and SDLXLIFF files.
The only “drawback” was that, when processing the “IRIS” activated document, the process (namely, the “Convert to translatable format”) was relatively longer than that of the “NON IRIS” one.
I suppose this was due to the IRIS optical character recognition involvement.
Can anyone confirm this?
