Urgent! SDL Studio 2017 stops during starting process: "An error occured in file based translation memory compontent. file is encrypted or is not in database"

Question

Hello, 
 I do not know what happened. I was working with SDL Trados Studio Freelance 2017 SR1 as usual. I did open a groupshare project. I closed the programme and now I am not able to open it anymore. A reinstallation did not help. During the starting process I always get the error message. "An error occured in file based translation memory compontent: file is encrypted or ist not in database". I must click on ok. Than the starting process stops. I cannot open the program. 
 
 This is quite an existential problem. Can you help me with that issue?

You may have to do a Studio reset and it might help. Rename this folder (just add _old to the end or something, it's not important what you rename it to) and restart Studio: 
 
c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\14.0.0.0

In this case I think you better log a support case and let a support engineer take a look at the problem. For licensing or installation issues that prevent you from working we have a route for all customers to get help. This can be achieved really quickly using this link:

1. Submit a case using a webform 
2. Use live chat to get a licence reset
