Trados studio 2017

Hello

I've just wanted to Save a bilingual file I had finished earlier (doc.file) as Save target as but get the message:

failed to save the target content:trados 2007 filter definition file not found:...

I don't use 2007 but 2017 so I'm not sure why I get this message.Normally a simple saving as Target is not the problem but here it appears to be.

could you please urgently help, the deadline for these 50 pages is tomorrow,

thanks a lot in advance

  • Hi again Beatrice,

Did Jerzy's suggestions help? Do you need any of them clarified?
I'm off out now but will have my phone so will check later to see if your problem has been solved.

In the meantime, a quick word about Word:
When a Word file won't save as target, it's quite often something in the Word file itself that is stopping it happening.
If you create a new project based on the same Word file and then try Save as Target without translating, you will find out if the Word file content alone is causing the problem.
If it is not, check what you've removed or changed in translation that could have caused the failure.
For example, tags are often a problem here, if they've been reordered or deleted...

    All the best,
    Ali (in a rush...)
