My Studio 2017 SR1 closes down without notice, when trying to analyze several large files.

This problem I did not have before installing SR1. Is this a  common issue? Is there a solution? I try to analyze 6 files with about 50.000 words. The analyze starts, but suddenly Studio just closes without any notice. I tried to analyze one of the files with about 6.000 words and then Studio did not crash.

  • Hi Paul Filkin,

As I told, turning of the fragment matching solved the problem Studio from crashing when analyzing, but since SR1 my Studio crashes relatively often when I`m translating, already twice today, and this never happened before installation of SR1. The file has about 21.000 words and a size of app. 6.000 KB. I guess this is not an unnormal big file.

I have read that I´m not the only one having crashing problems with Studio after installing SR1 and you think the problems could be the Uplift match repair and/or the Lookahead function.

Obviously something has been changed regarding these functions with SR1, because I never had any problems before installing SR1, but the question is, if the change has bugs and this will be changed or do I have to consider to buy a new computer, which is more powerful?

My computer is a HP Probook 4330s and has 8 GB RAM, an intel core I3 2350M 2.30 GHz processor and a normal hard disc (not SSD).
