When generating the target file (from Pdf source file), I get the following error message:
Name cannot begin with the '<' character, hexadecimal value 0x3C. Line 2, position 4916.
How do I find position 4916, and how do I rectify the error?

I encountered this problem when convert my html files to sdlxlidff files, and I changed the "<" character to < in the source files to fix this problem. I think you can locate the "<" character and change it to the character code <. I'm not quite sure it can be fixed in this way on the PDF files. But you can have a try.
