Which processor should I select for my new laptop?

I am about to buy a new laptop for freelance translation work. After two PCs that have been somewhat sluggish with Studio and GroupShare in particular, I am hoping to get things right this time! Having upgraded to fibre broadband and opted for a 512GB SSD and 16GB RAM, I now just need to choose a processor. Is there much difference between an i7-7500U and an i7-7700HQ Quad Core processor with regard to using Studio 2017? I'm reluctant to go for the latter without knowing if it really will make a major difference as I will end up spending nearly double. Thanks for any advice.

Which notebook did you end up going for Louise.
And how happy are you with it?
I’d be happy to know about your experience.

I have actually a similar dilemma.
Dell XPS 15 (quad core) vs Lenovo T570 (dual core).
I got somewhat colder concerning the XPS15 - despite me liking the brand - due to poorish finition and this weird web cam placement.
And I like the T570’s (32GB RAM version) long battery power and the easily replaceable parts.

I noticed that on a Surface Pro 4 with i56300U and 8GB Ram, the transition between browser and Studio lasts sometimes a few seconds (the Studio interface appears bit by bit). Although this might well be a heat issue, as the Surface gets quite hot when used as a notebook for several hours.

I am quite keen on the T570, but was wondering if I should not wait a few months to see if the next version might not be a quad core Coffe Lake, knowing that Cannon Lake will not be available before long, or if I should take a good deal and get it now with an i7600U dual core...
