system out of memory exception

hi. all of a sudden i cannot work in trados, I keep receiving the "system out of memory" exception error. i tried disabling the tm- it´s 9.2gb. it helped me by enabling to create 2 more projects. but it crashed again when i tried to work on one of them... the previously offered answers do not help.

p.s. the files are scanned pdf´s

  • PDF is always problematic.
    But without knowing more about your Studio no help is possible.
    SOOME are not often in Studio 2017 and usually you're able to restore your work from autosave, while in Studio 2009/2011 the only way would be to restart the program, retranslate form TM, save and hope, SOOME would not happen again.

  • hi jerzy, one more question- don´t know if it´s related but... anyway. regarding these updates of the tm´s. i updated them all. this one i´m mentioning, the big one yielded the error i kentioned but all the other ones were ok. now, which is the version i should use or keep, because the folder now has 2 tm files w/ the same name for each. about the other tm, the big one, it got bigger after the update, how is that possible? 13.376 kb ... yet other questions, i know, but ciuldn´t find an answer. thank you :)
  • Disk error may be caused by a full disk. Are you working on a Mac?
    If so, increase the disk volume assigned to Parallels or whatever means you use to work with Windows.
    Otherwise check please, if you have all necessary rights to access the storage place, where your TM is.
