Hello: Is there a forum dedicated to SDL Certification?
I got certified for TS2014 and MultiTerm2014. I have the exams available for 2015 and 2017 in my SDL Account and I am reading the material provided for it. But, I would like to have the opportunity to ask questions, share concerns, look for other people's comments about this process, etc.
Here are some examples of the things I would like to ask/share:
1) I would like to know if anyone else has been surprised by the level of detail in these exams (e.g.: not recognizing some icons shaved points in my 2014 Certification experience).
2) Just this past week I carefully read the entire workbook provided with the exam titled 'SDL Trados Studio 2015 New Features', took the exam and failed. The questions were about thing that were not mentioned at all in the workbook.
3) It would be preferable if SDL would provide a slightly more lenient process in which time is not a factor. Many people don't do well at exams, let alone those where the clock is ticking. In our daily workflow what really counts is resourcefulness; you know that certain functionality exists and you are able to find it if you are given the time to do so. So, the test should be administered w/o a clock ticking.
Please consider the items above as constructive comments, with no intention at all to start a thread of complaints. Thank you in advance for your comments on the points above and thank you also for (hopefully) directing me to a forum dedicated to SDL CERTIFICATIONS.
Kindest regards,
LucyMM
