Somehow I unintentionally and mysteriously entered a few letters in a hidden segment in Trados (shown via "Verify" - Filter - "All content" instead of "All segments") which then apparated in the target file and spoilt the text. Until the translation agency I sent the finished sdlxliff to pointed this out I didn't even know that there is something like hidden segments.

How could this happen? A keyboard shortcut? My shortcut list (in "File" -- "Options") doesn't show anything that hints at entries in hidden segments and I didn't set any keyboard shortcuts on my own, so all there is are Trados standard keyboard shortcuts.

Is it possible to generally block those hidden segments from unintended entries like you can lock individual "real" segments? If the translation agency had a way of doing that before sending out the translation package - all the better!
