Can't add a new term in Trados 2017

Question

Hello, I have a problem in my Trados 2017 (SR1, all updates are installed). I cannot add a new term while translating. I've read about Flags Layout, yes, I can add new terms in my MultiTerm (with Flags Layouts - Default), but when I try to add a new term in Trados itself, this does not work (neither Add New Term nor Quickly Add New Term) - I have just an empty space in the field where new terms usually appeared in Trados 2015 (not in the list of all terms, but the field of the term), and nothing happens (see the screenshot). I think I found the problem. It's related to a bug in Studio 2017. Try renaming the filename and the friendly name of your termbase using latin characters as opposed to cyrillic. Then it works. I'll send you the termbase I changed but just rename the filename, so whatever.sdltb, and then in MultiTerm go through the edit definition wizard and change the friendly name so it's also in latin characters.

Also Elena Melnik , if the path to your termbase contains cyrillic characters then you might have to change that too. But see how you go.
