Hi Adrian Komiński Trados is continually being improved as it moves towards complete support for Hi-Res screens.  The latest release is getting closer.  You can run the application here that "may" help, but looking at your screenshot I'm not sure it'll really do much for the fuzziness:

This isn't too surprising to me as Studio 2011 uses considerably different libraries to Studio 2014 and above so this seems a likely difference.

It's a little more than an overlay!  If it was a web application it would be simpler, but the current desktop application is not going to lend itself to these kind of changes very easily.

Thanks! I just tried the thing, and it's a nice try, but basically all it does is it "zooms" the tiny elements without actually scaling them (on a pixel-to-pixel basis). It makes the application more usable, but also a little ugly, especially considering that the main translation text also gets "zoomed" (which in this case wasn't even necessary in the first place as text scaling worked properly) and gets more pixelated.

Guess I'll have to give MemoQ a try... Either way, the scaling issue wasn't that big of a problem anyway, but the lack of touch scroll and also the noticeable lagginess of the program ruin the experience completely.

There are no Trados 2011 scaling patches in existence, and none are planned, I presume?

Honestly, there is no other software with Studio’s or mQ’s features...

(When working on my mac, I also use CafeTran, but it’s mode basic).

Studio has also the "Plugin advantage".

And I like the document structure viewer in the navigation pane when working in the Editor... Alas, for me, Studio’s Achille’s  heel is the Alignment tool and poor Alignment editor.

We’re not here to develop mQ, but in my screenshots, you’ll see that

- the window buttons on the top right are tiny (right) and the mQ console and option ones on the top left are 1/5th off screen...

- the langage resource information at the bottom is partly unreadable.

I have far less crashes with Studio.

So you work on SP4 and can confirm that touch scrolling doesn't work for you in both apps?

If what you're saying about there being no real alternative to the two programs is true, then I guess I'll have to stick to Trados 2011 for now - which I love for its performance and reliability, but which, alas, looks a little ugly on the new screen.
