Memsource

Question

Hi, 
 I completed a project in Memsource and then at end saved it as a bilingual file hoping to open it as MXLIFF file in Trados and save to translation memory. It is opening as MXLIFF file in Trados but I'm not sure how to save it to my translation memory. All segments were previously confirmed in Memsource and are now still ticked in Trados but it doesn't seem to add automatically to translation memory even though this is open?

Hi Irene Murphy , 
 
When you open the memsource file you need to press Ctrl+s to save it and create a project in the background. This will activate yor batch tasks. Then you will find the update Main TM batch task. 
 
Alternatively you can open your TM in the Translation Maintenance View and just import the sdlxlff file that was created when you opened the memsource file in Studio.

You need to do two things: 
 
1. Add your TM to your project 
2. Run the update Main TM batch task
