Laggy Studio 2017

So, in an attempt to love the new Studio 2017 (which does have many shortcomings already noted elsewhere), I am now trying to tackle the issue of significant lag which occurs while typing or switching between segments. The new Studio's fluency is nowhere near the 2011 version I have used for years. The input lag increases with the amount of text entered in a segment. I have already observed this behavior in 2011 on another PC, but the effect was much smaller there.

Which of the unnecessary-anyway features should/could I disable to eliminate the lag?

 

Btw. my system is a 2017 Intel i5 machine, and I am convinced it is capable enough in terms of hardware. MemoQ trial works flawlessly.

    SO, a year or so has passed and I'm on the same machine with Trados 2019, and the same problem.

    One thing I've noticed though is that when I disable font adaptation (making the font too small, naturally), the software suddenly starts working like a breeze! It switches between segments in a blink of an eye and enters text like it always should have - blazing fast.

    And then, the more I increase the font size, the worse it gets. Looks like mediocre GUI optimization. Didn't happen on Trados 2011, though.

    Both of you have a Polish OS. From what I observe, people with OS in Polish seem to have much more problems, than for example myself with German OS.
    I also use MS Surface with Windows magnification set to 100% and font size in editor adapted to 18. Also other font sizes are adapted, but I do not notice any similar behavior there. Also my desktop with many adapted font sizes does behave like it should.
    I do show only tags, NO formatting though. This might be a big difference, as neither you no Lukasz do state, what kind of view do you use.
