Where is the file saved?

Hi,

I'm working on a sdlppx file a client sent me. I just clicked on Open Package and opened correctly. Now I'm working on it without problems.

But I can't the file I'm updating on my computer (I'd like to make a make a backup copy of the file). I'm usually able to find a folder Studio creates with the file but I can't this time.

I already checked on the last I had created and it's not there...

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Marga

  • Hi

If you opened a package then you now have a project in Studio.  If you make sure your project is highlighted and then use "Open Project Folder" from the Projects View then windows explorer will open the location of your project.

The structure will be "source language folder", "target language folder" and some other stuff.  The sdlxliff files you are working on are in the target language folder and if you saved target then the target files will be in there too.

To make a backup you could do at least these things:

    1. Copy the files in windows explorer from the locations I just mentioned, or

    2. With the file open in the Editor use File-> Advanced Save -> Save Copy As
