Unable to add SDL language cloud, MyMemory or my own TM to a project package client sent me?

Hi, 
 
 I have just finished a project and was unable to add SDL language cloud, MyMemory or my own TM to a project package client sent me? In the end I took the advice Paul Filkin (THANK YOU!) had given to a previous colleague and went into translation memory view, clicked on Import and imported folder. This did update my translation memory. 
 This was a short project but for future reference how do I add my own resources before I begin project or during it so they can help me? 
 
 Can a client block me from doing this when they have their own TMs added? I did go through the normal steps of adding TM, I even created a new one as this was to US English, but all to no avail. I also tried adding any TM...... but nothing updated and I did tick the update box this time!!!!!!

To add your own resources you do this in the Project Settings for the project you are working on. Pay attention to whether the project is using All Language Pairs or a specific language pair because you should add your resources at the same level to avoid complications. 
 
You can't be blocked from this. In fact you might find this application is useful ans it makes it easy to add your own settings to an existing project:
