I wonder if you can use AutoSuggest to place the result? If you make sure "Translation Memory and Automated Translation" is checked in the list of AutoSuggest Providers, and then make sure that "Concordance matches" is checked in then settings for "Translation Memory and Automated Translation" below "AutoSuggest":

Still much slowed than if the Concordance was inserted automatically. Take the example in the screenshot. Would be bice to have the entire concordanced part inserted, then I just delete the part I don't need. If I used AutoSuggest, it only suggests the first few words, not the entire phrase that I need.

To do what I want to do, I have to do: Ctrl+tab, release ctrl, ctrl+a, ctrl+alt+f3, ctrl+tab

Would be lovely to be able to achieve this either automatically or with a single shortcut.

(Btw, if MT is switched on you also have to do the Concordance search manually, as the MT hit gets treated as a TM match when the "Perform search if the TM lookup returns no results" rule (in the Concordance Search Window settings) is applied.)

If users have specific requests like this, it's possible to write your own macros with a very simple language called AutoHotKey. (At least the basic functions of this language are simple.)

You could easily program one hotkey to mark the source text of a segment, look it up in the concordance and place the cursor in the target segment again.

You can also write a little macro to select a concordance hit and copy it into the document.

Unfortunately I'm working on an institutional computer, so can't start installing scripts. I think inserting the entire concordance hit would be useful at least 50% of the time that I get a concordance hit, so I'm sure it's something most users would appreciate if SDL introduced this feature.

This is a feature I've been wanting for some time! I can't believe it still does not exist. Please look into how we can make this work.

I must confess I'm shocked that, well into the 21st century, Trados still can't do this quickly and easily. I am forced to use Trados for some customers and automatically compare the process with my preferred tool, Transit NXT. Time and time again I come up against clunky Trados blockages that other tools, not only Transit, dealt with 10 years ago at least. 

The last post here was around a year ago. Has there been any progress since then?
