Hello,
I was just doing a Trados training session with a colleague in South Korea. Using Skype screen-sharing, we were going over a Japanese to Korean xliff that I prepared and send over. As we were translating, he showed me about this crazy bug that happens when he presses space (to insert a space) in an activated segment. It causes the cursor to jump to a completely different segment (sometimes directly below, sometimes six segments up) and I have absolutely no idea what to do about it. It was very frustrating to watch. We checked hot-keys and nothing was set to "space". He also confirmed that ctrl or function we're being pressed. I took control of his computer and it happened to me as well. Sometimes it wouldn't jump either. But I couldn't see any pattern to when it would happen. The only thing I could see is that it would happen directly after inputting text. Apparently, other co-workers in Korea had the same issues when editing alignment content as well but they didn't tell me cuz it wasn't a dealbreaker. It could be the nature of Korean language... but our computers are the same (Japanese, and issued by our company). I even took a screen recording of the occurrence, but it's barely noticeable. I would look like we're just jumping between segments with the arrow keys but we're actually hitting space.
If anybody has any idea what could be going on, I'd love to hear it.
Best regards,
Keenan
