While working in Editor view, corrected segments are added to the TM instead of overwriting the old version of the segment

Hello, 
 I wonder if anyone can help me find the right settings to correct a problem I seem to be having. 
 I am using Studio 2017. 
 My project has one source and one target language, and I am using two TMs. One is my own file-based TM. The other is a TM imported from a TMX file provided by my customer, using AnyTM. I therefore want both TMs to update. 
 In Editor view, if I go back to a previously confirmed segment and edit it, something strange seems to be happening. After editing and re-confirming the segment, when I look in the Translation Results window, two translation results appear: 
 - The corrected version of the segment, which is coming from the customer TM 
 - The old, incorrect, version of the segment, which is coming from my own file-based TM. 
 Why is the corrected segment not going into my file-based TM? 
 Can anyone assist?

Hi Hayley , 
 
I think the most likely reason is that you have not checked the update TM box for both of your TMs. Normally when you add a TM the second TM onwards is not set to update so you need to make sure you pay attention to this detail if you want to update them all.

 Hi Hayley Can you check where the results are coming from as using AnyTM can cause duplicates so you may always be adding and not overwriting. This is a known issue.

And I double-checked in the TM View: the customer TM (tmx added to my project via AnyTM) contains multiple variations (edits) of the target segment, whereas my TM only contains the final corrected version of the segment, as indeed should be the case.  I'm afraid not. We have an item of work to look at this problem logged with development. That number is LTB-1138 in case you want to follow up on this when we complete the next update. Once this is addressed the problem will be solved.

Having said that Hayley , why do you need to update your customers TMX? If you are sending them the bilingual files they can update it themselves once they have checked they are happy with the translations (which I'm sure they will be!) 
 
If they just asked you to provide them with a TMX of your translation afterwards then you could convert your sdlxliff files direct to a TMX using this tool:

Perhaps that would be a good way around the problem?
