German Framemaker MIF export only with old german spelling setting possible?

Question

We translate Framemaker MIFs for our customer from english to german.
Is it possible to set the language setting in the exported file to "Deutsch (neu)" = New german spelling
instead of only "Deutsch" = old german spelling?

We have discussed this with the filters team and the response is this: 
 
1. What is the logic for this as the filter has been this way since 2009 and nobody ever needed it changed? 
2. Create an idea in http://ideas.sdl.com and explain why this is needed
